Changing the world one person at a time!
Helping Hand of America is a 5013c organization. We want to spread our message of hope and compassion. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through our dynamic efforts to build friendships, gain skills and create outreach activities, our team works tirelessly each day to contribute their part to the greater good.
Here at Helping Hand of America, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all. We saw a need for community within our teens and adults with special needs. We strive to build community, encourage socialization and teach lifelong skills.
WAYS WE HELP
Meaningful Work. Unforgettable Experiences.
ADULT RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITIES
Helping The Community
Helping Hands of America operates adult residential facilities that provide 24-hour care to individuals with developmental disabilities. These homes were created on a person centered approach and tailored to fit the individuals personal needs.
Our adult residential facilities opened their doors in 2019, they are both located in Los Angeles county. We are level 4I facilities, vendored through our neighboring Regional Center. We service individuals with diverse abilities.
AU-SOME SOCIAL SKILLS SUBSCRIPTION BOX
Creating Community Continuously
The Au-Some Social Skills Box provides an opportunity for individuals around the world to connect, collaborate, gain new friendships and complete monthly activities together on a secure online platform. The program is hosted by Jennifer Oglesby and she invites various people, such as: artist, dancers, chefs, etc. to help co-host every month. The boxes have changed the lives of many.
DEVELOPING A COMMUNITY TEEN AND ADULT CENTER

At Helping Hand of America, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing the needs of community for adults with special needs. Our vision is to create a center that will be a a base for fostering socialization, job skills, life skills and to gain life long friends. This is an ongoing issue with our teens and adults and we want to make a difference one center at a time across America.
